Blessed Thought

Lyrics

We have our trials here below,
O glory hallelujah!
A few more beating winds and rains,
O glory hallelujah!

Chorus:

O glory hallelujah!
Blessed thought we’ll meet our loved ones gone before;
O that will be a happy day;
We’ll sing redemption’s sweet story,
O glory hallelujah!

A few more risings of the sun,
O glory hallelujah!
I feel no ways like getting tired,
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)

I’m making for the harbor’s side
O glory hallelujah!
I hope to get there by and by.
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)

My home is over Jordan’s shore
O glory hallelujah!
I have some friends before me gone.
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)

I’ll go to meet them by and by,
O glory hallelujah!
I’ll meet them ’round our Father’s throne
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)

And live with God for evermore,
O glory hallelujah!
O how it lifts my soul to think.
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)

I’ll meet them in the glory land;
O glory hallelujah!
Our God will wipe all tears away.
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)

We’ll sing God’s praises evermore
O glory hallelujah!
On Canaan’s bright and happy shore.
O glory hallelujah!

(Chorus)
