The Sinner’s Friend

Lyrics

He dies! the friend of sinners dies;
And He died on the cross for sinners;
Lo! Salem’s daughters weep around;
And He died on the cross for sinners.

Chorus:

I love my Lord, for He first loved me,
And He died on the cross for sinners.

Come, saints, and drop a tear or two,
For He died on the cross for sinners;
For him who groaned beneath your load!
And He died on the cross for sinners.

(Chorus)

He shed a thousand drops for you,
And He died on the cross for sinners;
A thousand drops of richer blood!
And He died on the cross for sinners.

(Chorus)
